iv been thinking bout getting a xenon and was wonderin if it came with the firmware on it or do you have to download it.

by firmware...I'm assuming you mean a dashboard? Or XeXMenu?
Every box has some dashboard version running. Whether its 9199, 12625, 13146, 13599, etc, etc. To find out simply ask the seller what dashboard is it on.
If you are speaking of XeXMenu (or loader) it depends on how you purchase it from. Some seller will include it on a HDD, or CD for you to burn to your HDD...others don't. Again, ask the seller what all is included with your purchase.

It is usually preloaded on the HDD.

Hey, watch out for Xenon's they get the RROD real easy. I recommend that you find a Xenon with a 12v fan mod. That makes sure it don't break. But it is loud as hell though.

well i got a xenon and i love it.I just go to xex menu and run freestyle dash, then i just boost the fans up to 12v.

Firmware = Disk Drive (Usually none of your concern)
Dashboard = Your kernel version (9199,12611,12625,13416,13599)
You can ask the seller what version they ship them on,most mass sellers will sell them on 13599 as it is the latest dashboard version.
