This tutorial is going to make a program that shuts down your computer but looks EXACTLY the same as a web browser or any program you want it to.

Step 1: Create a shortcut. Right click your desktop, and click create a shortcut.

Step 2: For the LOCATION of the item type in: shutdown -s -t 60 -c "Your Message Here" (my message will be TheTechGame.com) -s is the shutdown commmand, -t is the amount of time in SECONDS (60 seconds = 1 minute) and -c is the comment command.

Step 3: For the name of the shortcut you can name it anything you want, I named mine Google Chrome (it will not let you name it exactly the same so type in ALT 0160 after it)

You should get something like this on your desktop:

Step 4: Now you are going to want to change the icon. I googled "Google Chrome icon download" and downloaded an icon that looked VERY similar to the actual google chrome icon.

Step 5: To change the icon, right click your shortcut and click properties. You should see something like this.

Step 6: Click the Change Icon button.

You will probably get some error message, just hit OK. You will then see this screen:

Step 7: Hit the BROWSE button and find where you saved your icon.

After you find your icon hit OK, then apply, the OK again.

You should now have something like this:

Congratulations, you are done! Here is a pic of them side by side: (the original being on the LEFT side)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now when you open up the fake clone it will look something look like this (it differs from different operating systems) You have 60 seconds to cancel it before it shuts down your computer!

To cancel it you need to open up command prompt. (Start->Run->Cmd or on vista just type cmd in the search bar) and type in shutdown -a (-a is abort) I edited out my username.

It should disapear and on mine it gives this little message:

Whewt... I'm too tired to type anymore.

Lol nice, yeah it doesn't actually take too long to do but putting in the pictures and explaining it took long.
