This is just a theory i would be glad if somone tried this and see what the result is.
The Theory
*Note:You can try this theory im trying to sort things out with it i will make some changes and im just trying to help i am not responsible for anything that happens do this at your own risk.*

The Theory
I have been watching the videos of eaton and ive noticed something he doesnt connect to XBL until hes on the game itself watch his newest video right here.
You see it so my theory:
EDIT:Before this get your retail Xbox recover account put it onto USB then do the steps and read the new one.
1.Turn off your router
2.Turn on xbox then turn auto sign in off then turn off xbox and turn it back on and connect router.
3.Go to Xex Menu and put the patch you want on(remember to not be signed in to a account)
4.Launch MW2 from xex menu then plug in your USB with your account from retail xbox go to multiplayer and hit Xbox live
5.Sign in to the account what happens next IDK im not an expert at this this is were my theory stops i do not know wether or not what happens on this part but it is the part where it determines whether it works and you get banned or whether it doesnt work and i get blamed on or if it works you dont get banned and you can do systemlink be glad to try this out and post what happened if you dare

Ya i dont realy know that much about this type of stuff its just something i thought of from watching Eatons videos no one ever told me what was that was actually preventting the JTAG going online so this theory could be blasted out if someone just said what it realy was then i have a problem im just trying to help.

Thanks for backing me up and to be honest i realy hope someone could say what the problem is or if they can try this im getting this off of eatons videos.

You would need a keyvault to get the jtag online so this is kinda useless and you need to know what to do with all of it
