To fix your ipod you have to go to blackra1n.com. click make it rain. it will take you to a jailbroken ipod. RESTORE your ipod.back up your music. it will not void the warrenty because it is not currently jailbroken. hope it helps. worked for me.

yes jailbreaking it does void the warranty. and that had happened to me before and all i had to do was hold down the top botton and the home botton and it let me restart the ipod and sync it to my itunes

you might have a bad iPod take it back to where you bought it.

link it to another iTunes account maybe friend or family and re-set the device on their account.

If you cannot restore the device that is bad news. Take it to an Apple store for advice and if your lucky they may even replace it free of charge.

Your device will be void if you return your device JB. Simply un-jailbreak your device and Apple will never know. Trust me, I've JB loads of iPhones and iPods.

You should just restore it and start again. I had that problem once.
