Depending on what kind of virus you have you may have to do this in safe mode. You can get there when your computer starts up. There will usually be a loading screen that says "Click 'This' for startup menu" Then you proceed to "Start in Safe Mode"
Open the value of the registry key before you delete it, and run the path not the application, locate the application and delete the executable file.
I suggest that before you do any of this you go through and delete all cookies and temporary files. This will help speed up your computer as well. If you aren't sure of something right it down on a piece of paper so if you mess up something you can always fix it later.
1.Go to Start > Run > Type "Regedit" and click "Enter"
2. Once you have opened regedit Find a tab named "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and click it.

3. Once you have clicked on "HKEY_LOCAL_MAHCINE" you will see a tad named "software" click on that next.

4.Next You will have to look for a tab named "Microsoft" click on that now.

5.After pressing on the tab "Microsoft" you will then click on a tab called "WIndows." It's just "Windows" nothing else.

6. Okay so next you will click on a tab "Current Version."

7. Okay your almost done after you have clicked on "Current Version" you will have to locate two folders named "Run" and "Run Once." Check those to folders and if you if you see anything that doesn't look right google it and if not just delete it.

Additional advice: If you still think you have a virus just do a system restore.
1. Open up your "Control Panel"
2. Click "System and Security"
3. Click "System"
4. On the left side of the window click "System Protection"
5. Click "System Restore"

I'll take that as a compliment. I really hope this information provides some help to does who are infested with a virus or just want to know if they are safe.

Sorry man I've been knowning this for a while but I thought alot of people would know how to do this. I'm sorry if I didn't post this sooner but hey atleast know you know for future references and this will definetly help out some other members who don't know about this.

you can just go to task manager processes and look for image name with out a discription
