Hello everyone! I'm considering purchasing a jtag and I've been looking up some videos on flashing the NAND and stuff and I still don't understand exactly what it is. I have concluded I can't jtag the console myself because I lack knowledge of how motherboards work ect. so I wanted to purchase a jtag from someone else and I was curious will I be able to get all the files I need from putting them on usb then putting it on my console or will I need to connect the motherboard to my laptop directly to put files on the internal memory? and where can I find the programs I need because I have softmod jailbroken ps3 and all I need to do it gets files from ps3hacks or whatever and put on usb is it that simple with jtag as well? I'm sorry if my thoughts are un-organized but I appreciate you guys reading this far in.. thank you for your time!

Yeah I am curious what exactly is the NAND ? and why do you need to flash it? I don't really understand it... and can I just put programs on the console with usb or do you need to wire from the motherboard to computer?

If you buy JTAG then everything is done for you already, you can use a usb to transfer over mod files for your games. You can also use your usb to make a copy of your current nand or flash a new nand to your JTAG. The only thing you can't get if you buy a JTAG is the original nand unless the seller sends you a copy on disk, etc.

Your nand is basicly all of your consoles information most nands are 16mb and hold information like your freeboot image (dashboard) consle status (eg. baned unbanned) and it also holds alot more like kv's etc...

Hope this answerd your question.
