Here's what I did...
1. Went to felixbruns.de and downloaded my iPod firmware.
2. Shift + Update, NOT RESTORE, in iTunes to 4.3.3 I just downloaded.
3. Afterwards, opened up Redsn0w as ADMINISTRATOR.
4. Loaded the IPSW, and put into DFU mode.
5. Jailbroke.
6. ?????
7. PROFIT!
I just did this yesterday on two iPods, BOTH 3rd generation on 4.3.3
