Can someone explain rep to me because it says I have 5 but on my account it says someone +50 repped me. Also it says I have 1 rep power and 50 rep points

Okay, rep is basically to show how much people respect you, or agree with what you say, or in some cases people send - Rep because they are cranky.
What happened is you have 5 rep points on your account which you have earned from posting and getting from receiving + Rep from other members.
The 5 is what you can give to people.
You need 50 more rep points to get another point, or it takes a total of 25 posts to get another.
If you want to give rep to someone you go to the lower right hand corner on they topic/response and click the green flag.
If you want to give + Rep you click I agree with this post and you can type a reason why but it is optional. If you disagree you press the other option.
Then you scroll down and select the amount you want to give.
The max is 50 once you get there but for now all you have is 5 :p
