I recently bought a new graphics card and power source. After installing both of them and turning on my computer i noticed i had a red X on the speaker image down in the right corner. I thought maybe i had plugged my speakers in the wrong place but i didnt. I even tried to put my headphone in still no sound came out. I looked online for a solution and i think i might have to enable my sound in BIOS but when i go into bios i dont see the option to enable the soundcard. Im really trying to figure out how to enable sound in BIOS but i dont see an option.
Im running windows 7 Ultimate.
Graphics card is GEForce 8400 GS
HP computer

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

What is your sound card?
It may just needed to be updated with some new drivers.

you should uninstall the drivers, and reinstall the drivers.
start with the basics. never trust windows when they say something is installed correctly ;)
