Hey guys, just wondering but i got an ipod touch for Christmas and if i jailbreak it and it breaks or something and just stops working is that the end of my iPod or will the warranty cover it?

jailbreaking voids your warranty but all you have to do is restore if you jailbreak and apple cant tell

jailbreaking voids your warranty but all you have to do is restore if you jailbreak and apple cant tell


hmm.. alright but what if the ipod completely breaks and i cant even turn it on how could i restore it :/

hmm.. alright but what if the ipod completely breaks and i cant even turn it on how could i restore it :/
lol now-a-days it's alot harder to brick your ipod... However there are points in a jailbreak where your ipod will not turn on at all, but that's called a DFU state. No need to be worried about it....as long as the firmware is under 4.0.1 than you can just use [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which will save you alot of trouble. To determine your version simply click setting > general > about then on version it will tell you your firmware version. Another thing to be aware of is that if you have an MC model as opposed to an MB model and you have firmware 4.2.1 you will have a tethered jailbreak, which means if you turn off your ipod after you jail break you will need to re-add cydia
