SPOILERS AHEAD

What are your thoughts on Star Wars, really liked most of it apart from Snoke's death and Luke's. Luke's death seemed quite lame with little impact to it, wanted to see more of Snoke and more backstory.

Get's a 7.5 from me, let me know your thoughts and ratings below.

I'd give it a 6. To me, almost nothing happened. I wasn't a fan of them in space literally the whole time (and yes, I know it's called 'Star' Wars) and the plot was pretty disastrous. I thought The Force Awakens was way better than this movie. Especially comparing the two endings, this one in particular was just questionable and bad. Why didn't Luke just go and fight Kylo Ren right there? Even that was lame. The whole Rey & Luke part was also just meh. Not a fan of what Rian Johnson did compared to JJ Abrams. TFA was pretty much useless after what they did in this movie. Everyone is praising it, but for what? What was so good about it or really good about it at all? The most important character in the franchise deserved better, and the plot was horrendous. I don't even want to start on Snoke or the pointless casino world either.

I agree with the Snoke part, definitely would've liked some more info on him. Maybe there will be more in the next one. I think Luke didn't fight Kylo Ren in person because 1.) he didn't have to and 2) wasn't he stranded on the island? I mean i saw the x-wing in the water but no way it was in flying condition right? Also I think he had already resolved himself to dying on the island. Obviously would've been cooler if they had a wild, long fight sequence but I kinda understand why he didn't if anything I said before makes sense, just brainstorming. I really enjoyed the inclusion of the casino city/desert world. I thought it was interesting in that the wealthy will still find ways to make a living for themselves/protect themselves even during an galactic war. They don't necessarily care about who's going to win or what side you're on, they're going to sell weapons to whomever and make their money. Also showed that there is still a disparity between classes. Just rapidly typing my thoughts on the movie, let me know if this makes any sense at all haha.

OP - maybe include *Spoilers in the title?

Edit: totally forgot my rating (9/10)

Just a quick take on it: it didn't feel like a star wars movie. I guess thats to be expected since its Disney now. It feels kind of "star trekky" with a star wars theme. Idk if youd agree with that

I liked it, mostly the visuals though. As for story I feel like I like it but if I think about it I am unsure.
There are it's normal plot holes, but there was a small one pointed out to me that creates huge plot holes towards the issues trying to destroy the Death Stars...
Spoiler:
The FTL drive to cut through Snoke's ship...meaning they could do that to any other ship with shields.

Small details..

I didn't think he used the force in episode 7. Just wielded a lightsaber which I'm pretty sure doesn't require the force.
