I live in shared accommodation were the WiFi has a lot of things blocked on it, including being able to update games and most things on the ps4, I've managed to make an online account using my mobile data but it won't allow me to fully update games, so is there any way I could bypass the restrictions using a VPN/DNS? Any advise will be helpful, thank you.

Use a proxy or any VPN
Free or Paid it doesn't matter. These will both allow you to bypass the blocks

Yea use a VPN, i would recommend CyberGhost.

Yes you can get VPNs on your PS4. A lot of VPN services provide a tutorial on how to set up a VPN with your PS4 so just search up "How to set up (VPN you're using) on PS4."
