** realised that my 4K monitor would benefit more using the display cable instead of HDMI, the sluggishness was from the high resolution but only a 30hz refresh, swapped for display cable and works fine 4k 60hz running smooth **

My windows 10 pro is running pretty sluggish, Iv only just installed it,

I can do everything but the mouse just feels real sluggish moving across the screen,

Any ideas?

also can you guys give me a list of items that need immediate updating of drivers?

Just so I can make sure that I have everything

Edit:

I don't think it's the mouse, when I enter the bios the mouse moves fluidly and without any problems,

It's just a little laggy in windows, maybe try reinstall it again?

Drivers -

Anything chipset related
Graphics
Peripherals e.g. Keyboard & Mice

Is your Windows 10 legit? <-- could cause slowness if it isn't

Whats your specs? Do you run an SSD?

Is this the Windows 10 Creator update you're talking about? I don't know if it's fixed, but when it first came out, there was plenty of users on Reddit and Steam talking about mouse having really sluggish movement on both their desktop and in games, manly CSGO it seems. This could be what you're talking about but this was back in April so I would have assumed it was fixed by now.

If you have the Windows 10 Creator update, it's looking like the best option is to rollback to a previous Windows 10, but the update will eventually get shoved back at you. Some people have offered ways to help with this; even if it's mostly talking about in game, if your mouse is locking up or becoming slow, it's worth checking out. Also not sure how true this image is with regards to the CPU usage spikes causing device input lag.
