Tbh Shaun & Madison weren't officially a thing (so it seems) and she had to of agreed to go to the movies with John so really they are both lames.

Your brother isn't a great friend if he is trying to date one of his friends ex girlfriends after a recent breakup. I am assuming its a recent break up. Still if the guy isn't cool with it your brother should either remove himself from that friendship or stop trying to get with the girl.

I would be pissed if a friend of mine tried dating an ex girlfriend unless I said it doesn't bother me and there are no feeling for the girl anymore. Sounds like your friend still has feelings for her.

Tell your brother to pull his head in and stop being a bad friend.
