My friend has bought a new graphics card to upgrade from the on board graphics card and whenever he plugs the DVI cable into the mobo it will display on the monitor but when plugged into the GPU it will not. Any ideas of how to fix this or what is causing this? Hanks

Make sure the graphics card is properly installed of course. Make sure all the wires are connected. Common mistake.

What was his old GPU and what is the new one? Do the fans on the GPU spin?

Try a different display cable in the GPU. If that doesn't work, I'd probably run the iGPU and completely uninstall drivers, then re-install them. If that doesn't work, clear CMOS.

I'm still pretty new to the PC stuff. What is iGPU?

It's not on the motherboard, it's on the CPU. You plug the display cable in to the motherboard to use the iGPU.
