I really dislike the GTI platform personally.
I've never had a good opinion on front wheel drive platforms, I've never driven one that I liked how it felt. Between the steering feedback and the handling it's just not for me.

That being said, basically any car you get that is a 2017 is going to be nice and comfortable.
It's just a matter of if you like it and that's all that matters fam.

Yeah I wish they had GTI in AWD. They only make the R in AWD. The front wheel drive is basically all you need though if you live in a sunny state. I live in colorado with a FWD and I drove through snow just fine.

The thing I hate the most about my car is the wheel spin in the front and the little jump/hop when I step on it from a stop.

I wish i could get the R, but most of them are manual, i don't want to get a manual where i live(Chicago). way to much traffic and for a daily just not worth it.

I'm actually thinking of leasing one next year. Only thing I dislike is the price of parts for it around where I live, German cars always have very expensive parts. Either way it is a beautiful car. I'll most likely be getting one.
