Hello, for the past couple months I've been looking at different macbooks and I'm interested in buying the pro 2012. I don't want to spend more than $1200. I was looking to buy a refurbished one for a bit cheaper, but my friends told me its worth spending the extra money on a brand new one to insure quality. Does anyone know a reliable site for a macbook that is somewhat cheap? I found one that is $1050 shipped but if I can find one for cheaper I would definitely be interested in that. I would be using this casually, just for college and browsing the web. My sister has one for college and she loves it. Thanks

If you don't want to pay all the money up front, QVC.com offers monthly payments. They also have some good package deals on programs you may need for college.

What are your full uses going to be?

If it is just for general use, why overpay for a macbook?

hell lenovo thinkpads, offer great performance.

If you're moving around a lot a laptop is good, but if you plan to be in your dorm a good bit, I would suggest just getting a custom PC, and a relatively cheap laptop if you're mainly going for notes/internet.

Apple overprices, for something you can double the power and speed of for half the price at times.

Just list what you generally plan to do, and what your form of housing may be Apt, dorm, house, ETC.
