i have a Astro a40 and my mic is broke and i wanted to know if the astro a40 tr mic works for regular astro a40

I believe it should, the Astro A40 has a removable mic so I don't see why it can't work, but give it a try.

But the TR mic should be fine.

Yes the TR Mic will work with your normal A40. Also you might be interested in getting the TR Mixamp Pro. I recently upgraded my normal Astros by buying the Mixamp TR Pro, and it honestly make a world of difference. Everything is enhanced and the control you will have over what you want to hear is outstanding. Highly recommend if you are just using a Mixamp M80

i second this. If you already have the TR Mic then it will work fine, however it will be cheaper to buy a replacement like suggested above.

in addition the Mix amp pro tr is an amazing piece of kit and really does take it to the next level.

I completely agree with both of you. The TR Mixamp Pro is a genuinely amazing piece of hardware

If you got he TR mic it will work fine. If you don't I suggest just buying a replacement as they are much cheaper.
