I played it on launch and it was a pretty fun game. But as I'm sure you know, it died off pretty much a month after launch. Just recently I started playing again with some friends and it honestly has been a very enjoyable time. They've fixed a lot of the issues that pushed me away and it's in a much better state than it once was. So yeah, I'd say it's worth picking up.

The season pass will not only extend the life of the game, but help you gear up a lot easier in my opinion. Adds some cool new things to the game, such as survival which is surprisingly fun to play. Look around and you might be able to pick up the game and season pass for a cheap price.

They also made it easier for someone new starting off, because before you would get obliterated by high levels and you wouldn't be able to get any gear.

Definitely a good pickup. Get the season pass as it helps you in the beginning and in further down the line in the game so you don't have to pay for dlc expansions.

yeah i had heard the game was pretty buggy but it seems pretty god, deffo gonna have to invest in this
