I currently use Turtle Beach x12's but I am looking to get a new headset that has good mic quality and good audio (hear footsteps etc.). I have been looking at the Astro A40's TR with mixamp or the Turtle Beach Elite Pro (no mix amp). I am looking for headset recommendations or any info on these 2 headsets. Any help is appreciated

Definitely get the A40 TRs. Best headset I ever used.
Do not get the A50s, I repeat do not get the A50s.

I'm pretty sure you can. If you search GameStop Black Friday the A40s with Mixamp is $200 instead of $250

I would recommend A40s if you want to dish that much out on them. If you want a not so expensive alternative, I think you should get TB XOFour. I've had them over a year, they are super durable, comfortable, and I haven't had a single problem out of them.

I stopped using Turtlebeaches years ago! I bought Astro A40s about 2 years ago and they still work amazing. I would definitely recommend getting A40s, you won't regret spending the $
