Is a GTX 970 FTW Edition still a good card for the games these days?
I'm just wondering...

It is a great card still, but if you're looking to purchase one I would go with a new 1000 series card such as the 1070, or 1060.

If you all ready have the card, there is no need for an upgrade. The 970 will continue to play games at High-Ultra settings, 60fps 1080p without a problem for a while.
