Apart from taking my time and not doing stupid shit, are there any tips or tricks you guys have for me if you've taken your test recently?

Thanks.

Check your mirrors alot otherwise you will fail.
Put handbrake on at junctions the slightest movement will fail you.
look at mirror when passing a parked car.

Thats about it.

Well I'm in Canada so unsure how different the test would be but the safety thumb for driving is (of course following the rules of the road) and you should be staying at least 3 seconds behind any vehicle to give yourself some time to brake if anything happens. When coming to a stop behind another vehicle you want to be able to see the other vehicles tires touching the ground from your view, this will give distance in case anyone hits you from behind you wouldn't hit the next car a head of you. You know, the normal safety tips

Just really exaggerate everything, like looking over your shoulder dont do it fast, make sure the instructor knows you did it

When you are reversing your car make sure your both hands on your steering wheel instead of just one.

If you come to a junction and the instructor tells you to go through the red light and you say no, sometimes they get to push you so you go through it, it happened to my brother and it's an instant fail. Reason they do it is incase your friends get to encourage you.
