What's the point in making a queue full of smurfs?

That's pretty much saying that you're not good enough to play in your rank group.

Agree with what Taylor said.

I'm not against smurfing, aslong as you don't tryhard and you're only doing it for fun. It's completely sad to just tryhard against people who aren't as good as you and it's boring too.

There's no way that you're an LE on your main either. Do you really screenshot getting twenty kills against silver threes? It's pretty obvious that you're a nova level player playing against silvers. Or maybe you're just a silver who had a good game.

Here's a topic when you said you were a silver and got deranked - https://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=7543294/anyone-wanna-play-p.html

Nobody should ever smurf at LE anyway. They have three more ranks to get before they become Global and have an actual excuse to smurf.

Well from what "Motivational" posted we can tell you are Nova/ Silver.

I recommend learning some Flashes / Smokes.

Watch your demo's and pick a common spot you play on a 1 map. Then find a pro who does that spot also. Then break down how he holds the angle. where he flashes. how he reacts to stimuli ( when he says a player does he hold, pull back, get a team mate)

For example holding Banana on Inferno. Watch Fnatic Krimz. BEST in that position. Then once you feel you have mastered that spot then do another common spot. After you feel you are becoming better at that then move onto the next map. Just break things down into micro improvements; its near impossible to just become good.

I was Silver 4 to start with (after 10 placement games) then became MG1 within a month due to just playing one map and playing the same spot the whole time.

Also recommend looking at SK Fallen's youtube channel where he breaks stuff like this down. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If you need any more advice feel free to PM me.

Not to be offensive but being MG1 and saying that you play only one map is a bad thing. You have no variation in how you play hence all aspects of your game will be at a disadvantage. You improve by playing the game, not on one map but as much as you can. I only stay away from Train of the active map pool due to it requiring a lot of communication, not really a puggy map that randoms can play. Been playing CS for over a year now and I started at GN4 and now I'm supreme. I was playing multiple maps all the time. Never stick to one map. Its okay to play your favourite but you need to mix it up. Learning multiple maps at once is a good thing. In down time focus on learning smokes/flashes. What I sometimes do is when I am watching twitch or whatever I will go into a map and practice/learn new smokes/molly's and flashes.

I believe in the famous Bruce lee quote of

I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times.

I think mastering a skill is better than been ok at alot of things. my example of me been MG1 was showing the improvement in a quite short time due to the way I learnt to play.

That quote does not apply in CS:GO, if I spend 1000 hours practicing my AK-47 spray then go in game and I start on CT. What do you do? All I'm saying is that learning CS:GO is a large learning curve and requires you to learn all aspects at once. Focusing on one map is not a good idea.

Both of you are right.

I got to Global by almost only playing Inferno. I can play all positions on the map but it's by far my favourite map in CSGO, so I normally try to play it. However, if you only play one position then you've got to accept that you're going to encounter people who will demand to play that position, E:G premades who only play B site on Inferno who will literally AFK if you don't let them play there.

However, you can't get past MGE without having a good aim, you need to be good at the game in general. Combine playing only one position and having a good aim and you'll have no problem climbing the ranks.

Agreed.

I do have to note that while learning "that one position" you are also improving your overall skill such as aiming, cross-hair placement, movement, smoke timings etc.

I think watching pro demo's and your own is one thing that improves a player more than anything in my opinion. When playing the game you dont realise alot of your mistakes so i think demo's are perfect from a analytical perspective.
