I was recently on CSGO today playing some surfing. I leave for like 10 mins come back, and says "VAC Banned from Secure Servers" and i was like okay... ive never cheated on this game before. But im not gonna lie i do have cheats for the game. I just have never opened or used them. So i thought how could they have known that i had these? so i did some research and found that there are some people that say " they scan your computers" and others "no one knows how vac works and no one will ever know" so i did some more research which led t me reading the Terms and Agreements of Steam Subscription which led me to find "4. ONLINE CONDUCT, CHEATING AND ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR

You agree that you will be personally responsible for any use of your Account with your login and/or password and for all of the communication and activity on Steam that results from such use of your Account and of Steam, and that Valve is not responsible of the use made of your Account and of all communications and activities on Steam resulting from the use of your Account. If you believe that the confidentiality of your login and/or password may have been compromised, you must notify Valve via the support form ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) without any delay.

Your online conduct and interaction with other Subscribers should be guided by common sense and basic etiquette. Specific requirements may also be found in the Steam Online Conduct rules at [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , other Rules of Use, the Subscription Terms, or in terms of use imposed by third parties who host particular games or other services.

Steam and the Content and Services may include functionality designed to identify software or hardware processes or functionality that may give a player an unfair competitive advantage when playing multiplayer versions of any Content and Services or modifications of Content and Services (Cheats). You agree that you will not create Cheats or assist third parties in any way to create or use Cheats. The cheating section. Keep in mind you are accepting these rules when you sign up. I have been vacced before and remember i did have cheats installed for csgo but never opened or used them. Nothing in this section says anything about "searching" your computer. But i think if they have the ability to take away your rights to play a game you've payed for and never cheated and only had something downloaded, That they should put a section saying what vac does and how it works. Because otherwise YOU'RE accepting something that they say. But THEY are doing what your excepting to.
