I am trying to get a new gamertag and instead of it saying taken, I entered this one and it said "Sorry, that gamertag is now reserved. Try another one." does anyone know what that means?

It means someone has the gamertag reserved.
I believe they only can reserve it for up to 30 minutes.

I thought it said reserved if the GT was taken?

When it says reserved it is not taken it just who ever try to use it can only use it ont the account they tried to change the gamertag on for example i got a 3 leeter i typed it in but didnt have the money atm to change it so i told my friend to try to use it and for him it said the gamertag is now reservered but when i got the money and typed it in it let me it
