I want to start collecting something and not really sure what you collect. I've looked at pop vinyls but I don't like the fact some are in the vault and reach ridiculous prices. Even if it's not a series of collectables but just nice statues where do you guys buy your memorabilia

As someone who had a massive collection of TWD POP Vinyls, that I'm currently in the process of selling, I can tell you, do NOT go with POP Vinyls unless you intend to pay ridiculous prices for vaulted or variant/exclusive figures ( from places likes gamestop ) online if you can't find them in store. I still have 3/4th's of my collection and have already made over $300. ( I'm getting rid of trash collectables, and suckers are paying way more than they are worth IMO. )

Play Arts Kai have very well built and detailed figures that sell for between $75/$120. ( If you don't intend to pay that much, buy bootleg versions on eBay. I did this with my Heath Ledger Joker figure, and it's Flawless. )

After that, I'd suggest McFarlane Toys, and other various 5 or 7 inch figures made by different companies. As far as where to buy them, bigbadtoystore, ebay, ect.

Just google what you want, and buy what you like. However, I'd seriously stay away from Funko.

Just my opinion.

Just feels like it's one of those times somethings got stupidly popular so people Jack up the price especially when companies "vault" things

It's also because no one else has released anything quite like it, with that many licenses, and that cheap. So Funko virtually has no competition. ( Although, Hot Toys are starting to release something similar. )

Funko's popularity, and scalping fanbase will cause that company to crash. Funko doesn't have many more years left, I'm willing to bet.

I read and collect comics as well, and virtually the same thing happens. It's caused the comic industry to crash before. Funko is no different.

I'm looking at them and from a decorative kind of view funko pops look quite cool especially as I wouldn't be buying the vaulted versions just the 10 pound one kinda range. I'm looking for mass effect figures currently if anyone got an idea of where.
