MakeRoom wrote All I know is you guys pretty much say I should of gotten a differerent gpu and monitor but all I want to do is play at 1080p and a 970ftw is perfect for that maybe even a little overkill so I had no reason to get any better gpu and if and when I do upgrade to 1440p I'll just get another 970. Who cares if I got expensive parts I had $2200 to spend but only needed a 970 so the extra money needed to go somewhere, why not into all the other parts? I posted this post on here excited to finally get into PC gaming and all i said is that for those exact parts I got with some deals it was infact cheaper then pcpartpicker. All I know is no matter how much I paid its a nice rig it does what I need it to and keeps cool while doing it. So as I said before I'm happy i thought you guys would be happy for me but I guess not. Btw if anyone can reply to my other post about overclocking and help me out id appreciate it thanks.

I don't think you're getting it. With a $2.2K budget, you could have a far better build. You could have an incredible keyboard, mouse and mouse pad, a crazy gaming chair, speakers and a better PC than you have now. Instead you just got a mediocre PC with a terrible setup.

I can guarantee you that if you'd paid anyone on this forum, they would have built you a better PC for your money.

And how come you're asking about overclocking only a day after getting your PC? I thought it was perfect and you're extremely happy? I guess not.

Just stop man, he's been shown, he just refuses to listen. He was adamant on wasting money, and he did, it's done now. To be fair, everyone should overclock their GPU, especially if it's a 970, and everyone should OC their CPU, if they paid for an unlocked skew. At least he didn't pay CyberPower $50 to OC for him lmfao.

I'm confused you all seem to say he's wasted so much money and he could of had the same performance for cheaper well that's true but he obviously was set on getting those exact parts and as he said he got them for cheaper then building it himself. who are we to judge. And I've asked for help here along time ago and you guys flat out told me a 980ti with that exact monitor would be a complete and total waste of money. So if he was dead set on 1080p why would he get a 980ti? Op your PC is fine yes you could of gotten different parts for cheaper but you are right the WD black is better then any sea gate drive the 850 pro is faster then the normal 850 and the x61 is a great cooler. Like these guys said cyberpowerpc can be crap sometimes but if you do what you did and change around all the parts it's honestly the same thing as what you can do on newegg. Despite what these guys are telling you for those exact parts you didint overpay but yes you could of gotten different cheaper parts. And to answer your other question that overclock seems fine if you want to push the core clock any higher just up the voltage a little. But keep in mind that can be a little risky so if you don't want to that's fine the ftw is factory overclocked a little and that combined with your decent overclock will most likely be just fine for you.

Saying that he could have got a 980 Ti for cheaper is just a comparison to show that he wasted a lot of money on that build, you are correct that a 980 Ti is a bit overkill for 1080p at the moment. The WD Black drive is a waste of money for 99% of consumers imo, it just has little features that most people wouldn't use, the 850 Pro is definitely not worth the premium over the 850 Evo, and the BX200 is a better choice than either as it is so cheap for the performance it gives. He could also have got a Corsair H110i GT rather than the X61 for like $25 cheaper which is more or less the exact same Asetek OEM cooler.
