So I have just built my computer and I have the Intel I5 6600 CPU and I have DDR4 RAM 8GB but when I go into computer properties it says 8.00GB (1.85) Usable
Why is this? Did I incorrectly install my RAM?

Are you looking at the available memory in Windows or in the BIOS?

Things to check v1:
Go to "Resource Monitor" > "Memory" tab > then look towards the bottom and see [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (changes depending on how much RAM you have and what bit your OS is)
If it shows as the correct amount of installed RAM, look through your resources and see if anything is pulling your RAM usage by a bunch and deal with it accordingly.
Things to check v2:
Open up "System Configuration" > Go to the "Boot" tab > Click the "Advanced options..." tab > make sure you don't have number or processors or maximum memory checked as those options can limit the amount of processors you have and the amount of RAM you can use.

For future reference this setting will only apply while the system is starting up and not in normal running conditions.
