I was just on my pc as normal, gaming. Then all of a sudden Bright Green Dots / Pixels appear all over my screen, figured it was the game so I closed it. That didnt change a thing. Restarted my pc and it persisted. Ill post my pc specs below. Im currently on my laptop. Pc is turned off right now.

CPU: AMD FX 8320 OC 4 GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 SC
MOBO: ASUS M5A99x EVO R2
PSU: EVGA SuperNova NEX 750 80 Plus Bronze

What temperatures are you getting, have any of the power cables come out from GPU, is it still seated properly and finally is this happening in every scenario or just gaming?

Also, have you tried a different cable and monitor.

Well its a stock card no after market cooler, it usually runs 60-80 C under load. According to Nvidia the Max is 90 C. And it was constant. The card is seated properly and is connected. No cord/Monitor

So to clarify, this only happened in one game? Or did you try other games and the issue reappeared? Have you noticed any artifacts showing up outside of games (on your desktop, internet browser, etc.)?

If it is reoccurring in multiple games, or outside games, I'd put my money on a failing card.

Unless you have another system to test on for certainty, I'd go ahead and assume your card is dying then.

Your card may be artifacting which is a fault and you should get the card replaced under warranty if applicable. Before that ensure that no changes have recently occurred which could have caused the error such as hardware or software changes which could include driver updates.

Test a different display cable and different monitor, in case one of those are the issue. If not, it's most likely your GPU. It's an old card so if it's been running at high temperatures since it was new, it wouldn't surprise me if it has died.

Try to find an update for your card. Mine always starts lagging/PC crashes with graphic errors when my card needs an update. I would just be browsing the web and it would crash. After updating, everything was perfect again.

Just look up SlimDrivers on Cnet. It's a legal program and doesn't even show up on Virus protection programs. It finds all the updates for your drivers and installs them for you so you don't spend hours finding out if you're up to date.
