no mate it just stays on when i press down on it. but when i press it to go to the home screen or hold it down to turn console off, it doesn't do anything

My controller worked fine until an hour or so ago. Now it only turns on if I hold the button down, if I let it go, the controller turns off. Do you have the same issue?

I did have the same issue, its now fixed as i unplugged my power brick for 30 seconds then plugged it back and its fine, it might work for you too
