Probably because it hasn't been released for backwards compatibility.

12th is when backward compatibility is released as a feature.
The game itself will be playable in backwards compatibility in the future, more than likely next month, it hasn't been specified.

It will be available soon as well as several other games. You can search and find a list of compatible games at the moment.
