Okay so I linked my paypal account to an empty bank account I had and stupid of me I didn't check my paypal balance for a while and I spent about $8k. So one day I realised that my paypal balance hadn't actually gone down at all and I looked into it more and it was charging my empty bank account. So I looked back at all of the transactions and the money was just not cleared from my bank account and the item that I bought was just not paid for and I didn't receive it so I thought oh okay that's fine then I won't have any negative paypal balance because it's all being cancelled do to there being no money in my bank account so there was no way I could pay with it. I then went about my ways for about a week until I had noticed in my missed calls was my bank for that account and so I checked my online banking and it said I had -$8k. How is this possible since the bank account transfers never cleared? Will I have to pay this back because I never even received the product that I was going to buy with it do to it not going through! Please help me and tell me that I am not now in debt $8k for purchases that didn't go through and a stupid mistake!

You're going to have to discuss it with them, they can sometimes be lenient if you give a good reason.
Nothing we say will change their procedure or what they say to you.

Ok thanks for the advice and I know I just wanted to see if anyone knows what happens or anything because I have no clue!
