Only if you have the cash burning a hole inyour pocket. For gaming, it won't make a huge difference. DX12 is supposed to be more beneficial for i7's than i5's, and Skylake i7's have reverse hyperthreading for better single core performance, but the 6600k would be fine. I would recommend getting a 1440p monitor though.

Why the hell would you spend that much money on a computer and put a crappy 750 it on it? Bad choice

Switched out the 120GB 840 evo for a 250GB 850 EVo which is actually less, a better power supply, and swapped the garbage 750 ti for an R9 380. I didn't want to change your case or change up your red and black color scheme so I left that alone. the msi 380 matches perfectly [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Hey bro, if I was you I would go with this build. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I have everything in this build except my gpu is diff. The Motherboard is a great mobo and saves you 10$ from the other one. DDR3-1866 is the gaming sweetspot for ram. hope you enjoy!

Enough PSU headroom to add another 390, not really any need for a 4790k but you can OC the 4690k nicely. Great case, 16GB of nice looking RAM because why not.

Its not better. Its actually worse.

and swapped the garbage 750 ti for an R9 380

Its not garbage. Its a budget GPU. Made for people with LOW budgets.

DDR3-1866 is the gaming sweetspot for ram

No, its not.
