Not at all
I run a 6300 and a 970...
EDIT: this would be a tad better: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
If you ever need a CPU cooler for some overclocking I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and I got my 6300 stable at 4.2GHz with highs of 50C with it.

Yes! this will bottleneck! you wouldn't notice unless you run firestrike 3d benchmark test and see how low your physics score would be. the first two tests of firestrike test your gpu. which would do fine. but the third test would destroy your score because it tests your cpu. Does the same to me.

on the other hand, basic gaming will do fine. Im just someone who's looking forward to implement Virtual reality headsets when they are publicly released.

Cpu - Amd 8350 Oc'd to 4.2
Mobo - Msi 970 gaming
Gpu - Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 970
Ram - 16gb G.skill Trident X oc'd to 2133

It won't bottleneck, not at all. I ran tests with my 6300 at 4.5GHz, 4.2GHz, 3.5GHz and 3GHz and got pretty much the same scores each time.
Bottlenecking a piece of hardware in this day and age is relatively difficult, unless you want to run SLI 970's on a G3258 then you may experience decreases in performance.

You'd be better off with something like this;

860k has better single core performance than the 6300.
