So iv come across a pivotal moment for my pc. Right now I have a GTX 660 Ftw installed in my computer. and have the chance to get two r9 270 x's to crossfire at a discounted price. What I'm wondering is which is infact better? the gtx 660 or the r9 270? iv looked at comparison's that showed both being almost equivalent. either way. I have a chance to replace my one gpu with two. should I go for it or no? Will my PSU handle it? & how will this effect my pc temps?

Case- Nzxt guardian
Processor - AMD fx 8350
Mobo - Msi 970 Gaming
PSU - Corsair CX750M
Ram - Corsair Vengeance 2x4 8Gb

Need a final decision by Friday.

The R9 270x is slightly better than the GTX 660. I would say do the AMD route since there is Mantle for higher graphical games. I looked at a few benchmarks between the two and all I saw was just a slight better performance in the R9 270x so yea! I would go with the Crossfire R9 270x's! The temps on AMD GPUs are usually just a little bit hotter than Nvidia but its nothing to be worried about and you shouldnt have a problem. And the 750W powersupply shouldnt have a problem with the Crossfire R9 270x's! Good luck man!

270x is better then the 660 but i would say do 770 or 660ti imo i like nvidia better then amd cause i have issues with amd over heating so i usually try not to recommend anything by them but yeah 270x would be the wiser pick here
