Spirited away is quite entertaining: the story is good, the characters are deep and the art style is pretty.

I've watched Spirited Away a lot of times already. The art is really neat combined with a really great storyboard. Despite the bad comments people are saying about Hayao Miyazaki's "real" intention regarding Spirited Away, I still think that it is a well-made anime that is hard to top. It is indeed considered as one of the classics.

What was the real intention behind it?

It was said that Spirited Away is about prostitution and the corruption of children. Harsh, right? In interviews, Hayao Miyazaki often admits that everything was intentional. That the most appropriate way to symbolize modern world is the sex industry.
There's a lot more behind Miyazaki's works. Your mind will be blown once you've watched every single one and read the hidden meaning behind them.
