I recently jail broke my iPhone 6 to the 8.3 update, I've seen there is an 8.4 released now so can I just go straight to 8.4 through the program or do I need to backup my device, update to 8.4 then jaiobreak?

Updating is never necessary. Personally I aim for the most stable release of the IOS version, which usually is X.1.2. To update you just plug in device backup update and jailbreak. If anything goes wrong just restore from back up.

well, there are many.my favorite being repo.biteyourapple.net. there you can get appadict or vshare.
