I just need the best possible gaming build for $500. All i need is the computer with no OS. I have everything else.

This would be capable of running games easily at high settings 1080p

You may want to save money and go with a Pentium and then upgrade to a i5 later instead of buying the i3.

Reasons why I3's are chosen around here is because some have hyperthreading whereas the Pentium doesnt.

I see what you mean by it perform a bit better but honestly its not worth it to buy a i3, you really want 4 real cores.

Joke right? Windows and most games recognise it has 4 threads and take advantage of it.
The i3 performs similarly to the fx 8xxx in alot of games.
Games like advanced warfare and farcry 4 dont work with dual cores unless you use mods.
