Today I bought my first car... It is a 1994 BMW 325is. Body is in perfect condition, but the car needs a new cooling system and head gasket replaced. The previous owner drove it multiple times after the first overheat and I am very worried about further damage being done to the car. I can buy a new cooling system and head gasket, as well as replace them myself but its more than likely that the entire block will be cracked. Has anyone had this problem? I got the car for $400 on a major low-ball, and even though this car is rare and amazing, should i just get rid of it? I dont want it to be a money pit and would rather spend money on upgrading the car instead of making it drive-able... Anyone have opinions?

My opinion just find a new motor and scrape the old one cause you don't want to start getting into the engine and it has a cracked block which would equal a big waste of time, plus scraping the old motor puts a little money in your pocket to get a new one to
