yeah i already have it at my house

I would return it but if you cant then i guess it will have to do. When you upgrade your cpu again in the future your going to have to buy a new motherboard again. Keep that in mind.

$220+ is ridiculous money for a GTX 960, that's closer to R9 290 money. R9 285's can be found for about $180 and out-perform the 960, though the 960 is far more efficient. The 6350 will do. It's not a great CPU but if you already have it and it's too late to return, it's fine. A lot of the time, people don't upgrade CPU until a much newer socket is the norm anyway. However, as a reference, even 2-3 year old i5's still perform well in games, so an i5 now would have you sorted for a good while potentially.

As for the rest of the components;

and any cheap optical drive will do fine.

He also needs a hard drive and a dvd drive which would bring it to about $50 over

I think he already bought a 2TB HDD and just needs an SSD. You can pick up optical drives for around $10 if you can find a deal or find one in good condition on eBay. The V300 isn't a great SSD from what I hear FYI.

I know he said hard drive, but I think he meant SSD since he never mentioned an SSD in the post he mentioned a hard drive in. Some people think HDD's and SSD's are the same thing.

550W is enough for an R9 290. The R9 290 does not require a 750W PSU. A good quality 750W PSU will more than likely power 2x R9 290's in XFire.

You never clarified though, do you already have the 2TB HDD or do you still need an HDD as well as an SSD?
