Skaters94 wrote so i bought a subaru wrx i believe it is a 2014 make so ever time i start it up and start driving or sitting at a stop sign or red light it makes a raddling sound i get out open the hood checked the engine it seems to be coming from there as its a pretty bad sound, i only had this car for a few weeks the miles on it is 40000 this sound didnt happen untill a asshole was running stop signs and turning on red lights (in montreal qc canada your not allowed to turn on red) he hit me pretty decent as it wasnt to bad of damages just a scratch and a mid size dent but after that the next day it started making this sound, i dont want to take it in as they charge alot more then me doing fixes my self so anyone know what it is causing it?, car caused me 2000$ as it was a friends and they didnt really use it much because they use a acura from 2000, i would post a pic but i dont own a cam phone or anything that takes pics plus its dark out so it wouldnt do much.

mods done to the wrx so far:
wide body kit
a sports spoiler
blue and green neon lights
purple type headlights
new taillights
5in sub fitted for the trunk
a custom muffler
50% window tint all around but 10% windsheld tint (got to change this soon).

You really need to work on your grammar, reading that made me cringe.

Anyway you got hit, and didn't call insurance or take your car to a mechanic? Horrible choice to not take it to get looked at, and if you have all of those mods done to your car and you can't fix something like this, then idk what to think. None of those mods would have affected this so including that list was pointless. Just saying.

Also, we need more info. We can't tell what is happening with your car with that description. Hell, for all we know your windows could be messed up, or your engine is about to take a shit. Include more info if you want us to help. Where did you get hit exactly? Is the car driving any differently? Rough idle? Slipping gears?

And above all, you bought a WRX and you don't even know what year it is? I can't stop shaking my head.
yeah i know i need to work on my grammer but im not english so its hard, i took it in and found out it was something wrong with the engine, i guess there was something wrong before i bought the car, as for the mod list i see your poin i dont know why i even bother putting it there anywho i got the year of the cars make its 2014 i had to ask the guy but yeah i didnt call insurance company as i didnt put insurance on the car yet (didnt get payed yet) the mechanic said it was an engine failure before i got hit so i dont know as it only happend recently andgot it directly in the fort of the car.

I'm not dogging you on the grammar, just saying it before someone else insults the hell out of you. I understand

It the engine is really screwed then your looking at thousands of dollars worth of damage. Unless you can junk the car for a good price and get a new one, start saving for a new engine. Don't forget labor too. If you can get insurance on it and try to see if they can cover it right away. If not, sorry dude.

If its as you come to a stop check your roters and brakes im sure they are warped just like mine but $2000 for that car is super cheap i would not drive it until you get it fixed.

Is it a knocking noise? If it is, engine will need to be rebuilt.

What exactly is the noise? Can you explain it any better?

Mechanic labor can be expensive. I've restored cars before, so I can do the best to my ability to assist you.

EDIT: I just re-read your post. No offense, but it's rattling. Not raddling.

If it gets louder as you speed up, it's most likely gonna be the engine.

A bolt may have come loose from something. There are bolts that hold up the alternator, power steering, etc.
