Thinking about getting a gaming/recording pc, most likely will have a $1700 limit.

This is what I put together, any suggestions?

Everything looks great to me except the power supply, if you're going to get one I would reccomend a corsair one, but if you just simply like the looks of that one I say go for it!

Why would you do that? The vast majority of Corsair's units are terrible. Their are a few good Corsair units but you pay a huge premium for them. The V650 in OP's rig is a SeaSonic OEM and is a great unit.

OP-The PSU doesn't have a price listed FYI. Are you really going to benefit from X99? If you're not doing lots of heavy editing/rendering, a 4790k would be more than fine. Will you be overclocking?

Not too knowledgeable when it comes to over clocking, but I plan to sometime in the future.

Add another 8GB RAM whenever. Check out the H440, you might prefer that to the Define R5.
