What to do about my computer overheating? My computer can games like dying light and far cry 4 but when i do play those games, my computer overheats and eventually shuts down and bluescreens. My pentium g3258 is overclocked to 4.2 ghz and my r9 280 is not overclocked but i do go into msi afterburner and turn the fan to max when i play games. What can i do to fix this. If i need fans what are the cheapest most effective fans i can get.

What part is overheating exactly. There are several fixes depending on the part.

I could be bad if you used the pre-applied paste, they use cheap thermal paste i would recommend replacing the thermal paste on your CPU and getting a few fans to increase airflow. Also keep in mind that you might need to buy some fan adapters if your motherboard doesn't have enough fan ports.

So hold on a second.. You've overclocked your CPU without an aftermarket cooler and you're wondering why it's overheating?
Mate..

The GPU.. Hmm.. Your case really isn't the best for cooling. Show us a pic of your hardware config. Take the side panel off and give us a snap.
