Thought it may have been easier but the iPad is not recognised in the my computer screen once its plugged in?
Thanks

You'd be easier downloading iFunbox which allows you to veiw and edit files easily without jail breaking or if you simply connect your iPad to your pc/laptop then you can open the iPad from 'my computer' and go through the jfolders and copy and paste them to your pc from m there

ah is that free? and where would i be able to download it from?

Here's a link to the download it's so easy to use

Here you go

And yes it's free
why would u have him download a beta of something when dropbox has been out for years running a lot better than some off brand sh$* that's still in beta smh

I think you'll find iFun box has been working since 2011 and its only the beast version that is in beta and does not require creating a profile and has no storage caps so why are you calling software s*%t if you have clearly never used and have no experience with where as I have used multiple softwares and I find that iFunbox would be easiest for someone with not a lot of technical knowlage without having to jailbreak their device thank you

Honestly just download Copytrans manager.
Allows you transfer music, films, and loads more back and forth, been using it for ages.

But Dropbox requires you to create a profile and you have usage caps so it's not '100% free' iFunbox allows you to do jailbreak like things without jailbreakig, plus if he was to use Dropbox he would require downloading it to his device and his pc therefore wasting time as iFunbox is so much faster doesn't require an account and is only one download and is 100% free

You can fix the problem of your device not being recognized. The way to do this is to plug up your device, go to, "devices and printers" right click on the iPad, troubleshoot it, done.

Troubleshooting the device will make the computer re-install drivers and therefore it will work for you.

If you are still having issues, make sure that your version of iTunes is updated!
