ok so i got my xbox connected to a vpn but the xblse activated message does not pop up like normally can anyone help as to why this is happening?

What VPN are you using?
Presuming that you set it up properly there is no reason it shouldn't be working. Make sure you bridged the connection to your PC and have network sharing enabled for the VPN connection, not your normal connection.

im using vpn book but i connected it through virtual machine on my mac because i couldn" figure it out on my mac itself

DreamHacks wrote im using vpn book but i connected it through virtual machine on my mac because i couldn" figure it out on my mac itself
It's a free VPN so it's probably really slow and might take a little while for XBLSE to be able to connect.
But make sure you have network sharing on for it in the virtual machine with an Ethernet plugged into your computer.
