Well im really looking for a long-lasting SSD, with good read/ write speeds. I used to own a Sandisk SSD (horrible choice- i know) which broke down after a years use; it started losing data therefore corrupting the OS giving me constant BSOD. So i want to avoid that mistake and am looking for suggestions on top quality SSDs i can buy.

Size- 120-250 can be 500gb if its recommended instead of 2x 250GB
Price: <$300 USD

The Crucial MX100 is one of the best value SSD's around right now which are still reliable. Most SSD's aren't crappy except a few SanDisk models which aren't the best.

As always, you should DISABLE disk defragmentation on your system for all SSD drives as it will wear out the memory chips.

Thank you. I checked it out and it looks like something i will be buying soon. Also do you think that the EVO 850 is worth thee extra $50, you get around 100MBps write and 10 more read plus encryption (which i dont think i need but its nice)

Your budget is $300, but honestly, if it were me, I'd spend the extra $20 and get something like this;
