Yes you can have your account signed in on both consoles. I did this all the time when I used to play my X360 before selling it.

You can be signed in on both consoles at the same time with the single account i do it frequently and it works fine, you can do this because they don't use the same servers, they are both seperate so it doesn't kick u off if your on your xbox one & your brother is on your 360 at the same time, hope i helped clarify things, and cleared everything up for you
