I was looking to upgrade my mobo/cpu from a asus a88x-pro mobo with a fm2 amd A10 6800K apu to an am3+ mobo and cpu for around $200 USD limit around $300. Any help would be greatly appreciated some other specs just in case someone would think something else should be replaced. Originally I was building cheaper and using a different case,mobo but the mobo came dead and I waited longer and ended up with the case and mobo as a birthday present. Sorry if the post is messy and thanks for any help.

The majority(if not, all) of the CX line up are CWT OEM which are horrible. New PSU is definitely recommended.

If you can spend just over $300 after rebates, you could get an SSD as well, if you don't already have one;

Otherwise, SLI's suggestion is good.
