The above connection message pops up when I try to connect to XBL...
I've tried resetting the modem, the xbox and also using the Ethernet cord with my laptop where it also works.

What could be the problem and how do I fix this?

Could you also post a picture of the error message you're seeing?

I used to get this on my 360. Clear system cache. Settings>>Storage, once there, highlight your preferred memory device, press Y and select "Clear System Cache"

Try it again.

If that doesn't work, reset your router.

Disconnect and reconnect may do it as well.
