OBS is a good software to use. Most MLG Sponsored Streamers use it (Scumpi, Nade, Boze, ect.) I have used it before and t works great.

Doesn't Elgato have their own software? Haven't heard of OBS but it looks good.

Elgato's Software is for Recording, Editing and Streaming all-in-one. It is very mediocre and not professional(Not in difficulty, but quality). On the Elgato Software you Stream, Have audio for voice and game, and a facecam. On OBS, you can have all that + Open Source, Overlays, Borders, Adjust scale, bit rate, sizes, Audio, which layers you want active, custom presets, etc. It's a very powerful tool in the tips of your fingers.
